One of the most important realization from Dr. Cromley’s presentation was the importance of timing. In my PSY 100 course I discuss learning strategies and explain difference between poor habits and efficient learning. However, I usually introduce this topic somewhere in the middle of the semester when we cover memory. It will be one of the first topics from now on. I’ve already started to reshuffle my course structure and changing its flow. I believe that learning about learning strategies in the beginning of the semester will benefit students.
