Dr. Stephen Aguilar is an Associate Professor of Education at the USC Rossier School of Education who studies how technology—especially generative AI—shapes teaching, learning, and motivation. He co-leads USC’s Center for Generative AI and Society and is writing Authenticating Intelligence: Preventing AI from Hijacking Education published by Bloomsbury Academic. Dr. Aguilar has earned early career awards from AERA and APA, funding from NSF, NIH, and the U.S. Army. His research has been covered by national media outlets, including NPR, The Washington Post, The New York Times, and USA Today.
